Recently we at STSA got connected to YMCA of USA about a project called the "Farm of Hope," They were looking for funding to renovate a space in Paranthan, Kilinochchi. In 1973, a YMCA youth training center was established but later closed down in 1996 because of civil conflict; however, the land was returned to the YMCA in 2017. Since then, the YMCA has raised money to get that center back up and running to benefit men, women, and children in the area. We have decided to raise money to form a youth club that will create sports, personality, career, and entrepreneurial development opportunities. Our target is USD 800 for this project, but if we receive more funds, we can allocate to other initiatives in the same project, such as a younger children's club.

S.T.S.A. AT A GLANCE
The Sri Lankan Tamil Student Association, STSA, is organized entirely by Chicago-land High Schoolers. We want to make a difference by preserving our Sri Lankan Tamil identity, and to pass the dying heritage on to future generations. Our top priority is preserving our culture forever, because WE ARE THE FUTURE.
